The Entry Summary form is one of the three types of entry controls known as “entry controls”. The entry summary is an initial application form used to determine if a person or group of persons (such as illegal aliens) may obtain entry into the United States.  CBP Form 7501 (, appeasement, classification) is a three page, handwritten application that is filled out by the Customs officer on the person's arrival in the United States.
